Alia Shawkat
Alia Martine Shawkat ( born April 18, 1989 in Riverside, California) is an American actress.
Life
Shawkat began her acting career in 1999 with a guest appearance on the television series JAG - The Call of Duty. In the same year she got a small role in David O. Russell's film Three Kings. As a result, she played from 2001 to 2002 a supporting role in the television series State of Grace on the side of Mae Whitman and Dinah Manoff. Her breakthrough came with the series Arrested Development, Shawkat in 2003-2006 played a major role. In May 2013, the series returned in video -on- demand provider Netflix for 15 new episodes in which it resumes its role again. For this role, she received a 2005 Young Artist Award.
Her maternal grandfather was the late actor Paul Burke.
