Allain Roy

Allain Roland Roy ( born February 6, 1970 in Campbellton, New Brunswick) is a former Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender and inline hockey player.

Career

Allain Roy began his career as a hockey player at Harvard University, which he attended from 1988 to 1992 while he was playing in parallel for their hockey team in ECAC Hockey. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1989 in the fourth round as a total of 69 players from the Winnipeg Jets, for whom he never played, however. Instead took the goalkeeper from 1992 to 1994 with Team Canada at the Olympic preparation part. In the 1993/94 season he also made ​​his debut in professional hockey for Jokerit Helsinki SM- liiga of Finland, with whom he won the national championship title at first attempt. In the following season, he ran on in the Colonial Hockey League for the Saginaw Wheels.
