Alvan Graham Clark

Alvan Graham Clark ( * July 10, 1832 in Fall River, Massachusetts, † June 9, 1897 in Cambridge, Massachusetts) was an American astronomer and telescope builder.

He was the son of the telescope maker Alvan Clark. On 31 January 1862 he discovered Sirius B, the companion of Sirius. This was the first discovered white dwarf.
