The Amami Airport (Japanese奄 美 空港Amami Kuko ) is the airport of the island Amami - Oshima and lies within a enclave of the city of Amami, which belongs to Kagoshima Prefecture in Japan. The Japanese law classifies the airport as a third class airport.

Transport links and location

The airport is located at the very north-eastern edge of the island. The accessibility from the capital (about 30 km road journey from the launch center ) or the southern edge of the island (60 km road run ) is thus not optimal. History
