AMD K10#Characteristics of the microarchitecture

SSE4a Streaming SIMD Extensions ( 4a ) is a set of instructions from AMD for x86 processors. It complements for K10 processors existing SSE3 instruction set to the four commands EXTRQ, INSERTQ, MOVNTSD and MOVNTSS. Despite the similar name SSE4a has nothing to do with Intel's SSE4 instruction set. The only similarity is merely that both build on SSE3.
