Amedeus Msarikie

Amedeus Peter Msarikie (* September 1931 in Makundushi in Kirua - Vunjo; † February 7, 2013 in Nairobi ) was Bishop of Moshi.

Life

Amedeus Msarikie received on 8 August 1965, the ordination. He taught and was rector at St. James Junior Seminary and Kibosho Senior Seminary.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 21 March 1986 for the Bishop of Moshi. He received his episcopal consecration of the Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, Cardinal Jozef Tomko, on 1 May of the same year; Co-consecrators were Laurean Cardinal Rugambwa, Archbishop of Dar es Salaam, and Maurice Michael Cardinal Otunga, Archbishop of Nairobi.
