Amy Waldman

Amy Waldman ( born May 21, 1969 in the U.S.) is an American journalist and author.

Life

Waldman studied at Yale University and went after for a total of eight years for the New York Times. At the beginning she worked as a reporter for the New York City boroughs Brooklyn and the Bronx, as well as the district in Harlem. They also reported on the effects of the terrorist attacks on 11 September 2001. Thereafter she was three years, the co-leader of the newspaper's offices in New Delhi in India.

Upon your return to the United States, among others, Waldman was correspondent for The Atlantic. She was a Fellow of the Radcliffe Institute of Advanced Study at Harvard University in Cambridge (Massachusetts ) and 2010 Fellow of the American Academy in Berlin.

Forest Mans first novel, The Submission deals with the aftermath of the 11 September 2001 and describes the reactions after a Muslim architect in an anonymous bidding process won the competition for a monument on the Ground Zero. He appeared in 2011 in English and has been honored in the same year more than once. In German language of the novel was published with the title The American architect in 2013.

Waldman lives with her family in Brooklyn.
