An Evening of Yes Music Plus...

Occupation

An Evening of Yes Music Plus ... is the name of the live album of the British progressive rock band Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, Howe (also: ABWH ), an offshoot of the band Yes, from the year 1993.

Formation

Due to a dispute with the members and the management of the group Yes, it was the four musicians not allowed to call themselves Yes, but the tour promoting their successful album Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe allowed the name An Evening of Yes Music Plus ... wear (for details see Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, Howe ). On 29 July 1989, the four musicians started with the support of Tony Levin Bass, Julian Colbeck, keyboards and Milton McDonald, guitar and vocals to a successful world tour, which lasted until 23 March 1990 and 74 concerts included. One of these concerts, the September 9, 1989, 20,000 visitors Shoreline Amphitheatre Mountain View, California (USA) was filmed for the purpose of a live broadcast, and on the CD / DVD An Evening of Yes Music Plus ... documented, the posthumously, in 1993, appeared. At that time ABWH had already risen to Yes (see Union). Due to a hepatitis disease here is not playing Tony Levin bass, but the longtime companion Bill Bruford, Jeff Berlin.

On the album ABWH pieces and Yes classics from the 70's can be heard, especially from the time in which the four musicians involved were members of Yes (especially from the albums The Yes Album, Fragile and Close to the Edge ).

The cover was designed again by fantasy artist Roger Dean, this image is titled Floating Islands.

In February 2007, the record label Voiceprint has re-released the album and the DVD (in two different versions). This new edition contains in the limited version, the feature ("In the Big Dream" ), which was published in 1989 as a video and includes interviews and video clips.

On the various publications there are some differences to the concert on 9 September 1989. Way missing on the first release some pieces, also the order of the songs was changed. On the Voiceprint Release announcements Jon Anderson's missing. The order of the songs on the night was:
