Ander Iturraspe

Ander Iturraspe Derteano ( born March 8, 1989 in Abadiño ) is a Spanish football player. He plays since 2008 when Athletic Bilbao in La Liga, the Spanish top flight.

Career

Iturraspe began his career in the youth team of CP Matiena before he joined the youth team of Athletic Bilbao in 1999. In 2007 he was engaged by CD Baskonia for a year, where he was in the Tercera División active. The following year he returned to Bilbao and came to the squad of the first and the second team of Athletic. His debut in the Primera División was the defensive midfielder September 14, 2008 against FC Malaga. He was replaced in the 76th minute for Velez. The game finished 0-0 in Málaga. At the end of the season was the Athletic League 13.

Due to the finals at the Copa del Rey, the club qualified for the Europa League. There was Iturraspe on 20 August 2009 his debut at European club level. In the Europa League qualifier against the representative from Norway Tromso IL he came on in the 80th minute for Francisco Yeste. The game was won 3-2. With a sixth place in the Primera División 2010/11, he qualified with Athletic for the Europa League 2011 /12. There Iturraspe reached with his club after victories among others over Manchester United, FC Schalke 04 and Sporting Lisbon, the European Cup final, but lost in the final Atlético Madrid.
