Anders Fannemel

Anders Fannemel (born 13 May 1991) is a Norwegian ski jumper.

Career

As a child Fannemel devoted mainly to the sport of biathlon. Since 2004, however, he focused on the ski jumping training at his home club in Hornindal. His first ski jumping competition in the FIS Cup Fannemel denied on September 8, 2007 in Falun. This was followed by another jump in the FIS Cup and the Continental Cup. His first victory he could achieve in the FIS Cup on 12 October 2008. On the hill in the Swiss town of Einsiedeln he won here before Clement Muranka and Pascal Bodmer. The first victory in the Continental Cup he achieved on August 23, 2009 at the Lysgårds ski jump in Lillehammer before Erik Simon. On the same Schanze he graduated on 4 and 5 December 2009, his first two World Cup bets. The first competition ended Fannemel on the 37th place. In the subsequent competition with 135.5 meters he managed the second- longest jump in the second round. With the 10th place so won, he collected his first World Cup points.

At the Junior World Championships 2011 at the Estonian Otepaeae he finished in fourth single and with the team to third place. In the Norwegian Championships on the large hill in February 2012 in Trondheim he managed third place for the first time the leap onto the podium. On 11 February 2012, he won with the Norwegian team, the opening event of the FIS Team Tour to Mühlenkopfschanze in Willingen and thus won his first World Cup victory. In the Norwegian summer Championships 2012 in Oslo, he was able to win his first national title. On November 25, 2012, he reached in Lillehammer - where he had already won his first World Cup points with three years earlier - with second place his first podium finish at a World Cup competition.

Following the resignation of ski flying world record holder Johan Remen Evensen Fannemel is with his personal best jump of 244.5 meters, situated in the first round of the individual competition of the Ski Flying World Championships 2012, of the currently active jumpers one with the broadest official jump.

Fannemel has three siblings. His twin brother Einar and his older sister are both Eline biathletes who is not two years older Rasmus active in sports. Fannemel also has two cousins ​​who are also jumpers, Lorentz and Brede.
