Andreas Hölzl

Andreas Hölzl ( born March 16, 1985 in Kitzbühel) is an Austrian football player at the position of midfielder. Since 2008 he plays for SK Sturm Graz in the Austrian Football Bundesliga.

Career

Andreas Hölzl who likes to play at right midfield, joined in 2003 by the Bundesliga youth development center Tyrol to FC Wacker Tirol. In his first season he helped FC Wacker Tirol champion in the First Division and so promotion to the Bundesliga. For the season 2004 /05 he was initially loaned out to SV Wörgl, but still came back during the season to FC Wacker Tirol and came to 12 inserts. His debut in the Austrian Bundesliga he gave on 25 September 2004 against the Admiralty, the match went 0-2 and lost Hölzl was replaced in the 74th minute against Olushola Aganun.

The following season, he had a regular place in the offensive of FC Wacker Tirol and narrowly escaped relegation with the club. This season, he was also able to celebrate his first Bundesliga goal, 4-0 against the Admiralty in a 4-0 victory on December 8, 2005. Hölzl who came to missions already for the U21 national team of Austria was at his time in Tyrol for the first time the Four Nations Tournament in Switzerland in 2006 in the squad of the Austrian national team, but came to no use.

Hölzl 2008/ 09 moved from Innsbruck to SK Sturm Graz after the FC Wacker Innsbruck was relegated from the Bundesliga. When Sturm Graz he became a regular player and eventually came under team manager Karel Bruckner on October 11, 2008, a 1-1 draw away against the Faroe Islands in World Cup Qualifiers 2010 to his international debut.

On 11 December 2009 Hölzl extended his contract with Sturm Graz until 2012.

On 25 May 2011, Andreas Hölzl chose for the first time with Sturm Graz of the Austrian Champion 2010/11. In the decisive game against Wacker Innsbruck He even managed the opening goal.
