Andrew Agozzino

Andrew Agozzino ( born January 3, 1991, Vaughan, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. Since March 2013 he is with the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League under contract and playing in parallel for their farm team Lake Erie Monsters on the position of the left winger.

Career

Agozzino played for the Mississauga IceDogs in a Junior League of Greater Toronto Area, before 2007, the Ontario Hockey League ( OHL ) was selected in the first round to 15th position of the Niagara IceDogs in the Priority Selection. The player chose at the beginning of the OHL season 2007/ 08 to a change in the Canadian Major Junior League and played a total of 50 games; thereby pass him 22 points scorer. After being in the OHL playoffs in the second round was eliminated with his team in the 2008/ 09 season against the Belleville Bulls, he was appointed at the beginning of the OHL season 2009/ 10 to the captain of the Niagara IceDogs. He held until the end of his junior career in 2012 this office. In the 2009/10 season Agozzino completed 66 games and reached for the first time a section of 1 points per game. After serving in the first round of the Ottawa 67 's defeated the IceDogs, took him the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League ( AHL ) for the remainder of the regular season means of a so -called " amateur try-out contract" under contract.

In summer 2012, he signed a contract with the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League. After convincing performances early in the season Agozzino was invited to the AHL All- Star Classic in 2013. On March 22, 2013, he signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League ( NHL). The Lake Erie Monsters act as a farm team of Colorado. Agozzino finished the AHL 2012/13 season with 52 points from 76 missions as Lake Erie's top scorer.
