Andrews Thazhath

Thazhath Andrews ( born December 13, 1951 in Pudukad, India) is Archbishop of Trichur.

Life

Andrews Thazhath received on 14 March 1977, the sacrament of Holy Orders and was incardinated in the clergy of the diocese of Trichur.

On 18 March 2004, Pope John Paul II appointed titular bishop of Aptuca and appointed him as Auxiliary Bishop of Trichur. The Archbishop of Trichur, Jacob Thoomkuzhy, donated to him on 1 May of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Palghat, Jacob Manathodath, and the Bishop of Irinjalakuda, James Pazhayattil. On 22 January 2007 he was named Pope Benedict XVI. Archbishop of Trichur. The inauguration took place on 18 March of the same year.
