Andro Wekua

Andro Wekua (Georgian ანდრო ვეკუა; * 1977 in Sukhumi, Abkhaz Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic) is a Georgian artist who mainly lived in Switzerland since 1995.

Life

Wekua visited in his youth from 1986 to 1991 the national art school of his home town of Sukhumi before studying in the years 1993 and 1994 at the Institute Gogebashvili in Tbilisi. 1995 to 1999 he was at the Visual Arts School in Basel.

Since 2000 represents Wekua his works both in his home and internationally.
