Aníbal Alejandro Sánchez, Jr. ( born February 27, 1984 in Maracay, Venezuela) is a Venezuelan baseball player in the MLB.

Sánchez was taken as a 17 -year-old from the Boston Red Sox as a free agent contract. He spent two years playing for the Red Sox in the Venezuelan Summer League, then an elbow surgery had to undergo, and returned a year later back in a farm team of the Red Sox. After his first season in the American League, he was named after Hanley Ramirez, Brandon Moss, Jonathan Papelbon and Jon Lester as the fifth best junior players in the United States. By the end of the 2005 season, Sanchez remained in the farm system, the Red Sox for the 2006 season and was bound together with Hanley Ramírez, Jesús Delgado and Harvey García in exchange for Josh Beckett, Guillermo Mota, and Mike Lowell from the Florida Marlins.
