Animal ( German: Animal ) is the debut album by American pop singer Kesha. It was published on 1 January 2010 in the U.S. and on January 5, 2010 in Germany. The album is attributable to the dance-pop genre, combining elements of electro and electropop. It debuted at number one in the U.S. and sold more than 2 million times.
The lead single from the album Tik Tok was an international success. In Germany alone, Tik Tok could hold a total of 6 weeks at the top of the charts. Worldwide the song with 12.8 million legal downloads was also the most downloaded song of 2010. Background
Kesha wrote, among other songs for Miley Cyrus and The Veronicas and worked with rapper Flo Rida together for the hit Right Round before she started her solo career.
