Anna Wörner

Anna Wörner ( born September 27, 1989 in Garmisch -Partenkirchen ) is a German freestyle skier. She specializes in the discipline of ski cross.

Biography

Anna Wörner began as a teenager in alpine skiing and in 2006 German Youth Vice Champion in the downhill. Since 2007, it starts in the ski cross, and in 2008 German youth champion in this discipline. In January 2008, she made her debut in the European Cup for eighth place, shortly after she made her debut in the Sierra Nevada in the World Cup, was disqualified in this race, however. The first victory in the European Cup she was able to start the next season in December 2008 Grasgehren, while they beat their teammates Heidi Zacher, Julia Manhard and Alexandra Grauvogl the German quadruple triumph. In the 2008 /09 season, Wörner established in the World Cup team with 18th place as best result. They secured this season and their first league titles in women. In addition to the 15th place in the annual ranking of the World Cup ski cross brought her the qualification for the Olympic competitions, which were held in Vancouver in February 2010.
