Anse aux Pins is one of the 25 administrative districts of the Seychelles. With only 2 square kilometers and a population of 3590 it belongs to the small, densely populated districts on the eastern side of Mahé island. Anse aux Pins is located south of the International Airport and is home to numerous companies.

Naming and history

In 1972 in Anse aux Pins with the Reef Hotel is the first modern hotel and the first and for a long time only ( 9 hole ) golf course in the country. The district is named after an overgrown with pine -like Casuarina Bay (French Anse ).

Others

A greater part of Anse aux Pins, north of the road Chemin Montagne POSEE where the open-air museum Vilaz Artizanal is located, was assigned to the new district Au Cap. Anse aux Pins has two famous football clubs across the country. Worth seeing is the fish market. Especially popular with locals is the Katiolo, one of the oldest clubs in the country.
