Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations

Anthony Bourdain - A Matter of Taste is a travel and cooking show that was first aired on the Travel Channel in the U.S. on 25 July 2005. In Germany, the series airs on DMAX on Discovery Channel and the pay- TV channel Sky Germany since its launch on 1 September 2006. The focus is the chef and author Anthony Bourdain, who is accompanied on his travels around the world by a camera crew. Usually local people are presented, which Bourdain guide you through the country and introduce the culture of the country with the appropriate food. The format and content of the program are similar to Bourdain's Food Network series A Cook's Tour ( 2001-2002).

The special episode Anthony Bourdain in Beirut was broadcast in the United States between Season 2 and 3 and was nominated for the Emmy Award for " outstanding achievements in 2007." Filming for a really normal episode of the series about the Lebanese city of Beirut began one day before the start of the second Lebanon war on 12 July 2006. Initially held in the style of a normal sequence, this sequence developed on a report on the conflict, the ends with the evacuation of the team as well as other U.S. citizens by the U.S. Navy.
