Anton Bernard

Anton Bernard ( born April 18, 1989 in Bolzano ) is an Italian ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Bolzano in the Serie A1 since 2010. His brother Andrew Bernard is also a professional hockey player.

Career

Anton Bernard began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of the Star Bulls Rosenheim, for their juniors, he was active in the German Junior League from 2005 to 2007. From 2006 to 2008, he also starred in parallel for the seniors team of the association in the ice hockey league, the third German league. For the 2008/09 season the winger returned to his hometown, where he played for HC Bolzano in the Serie A1. With this he immediately won the Coppa Italia. He spent the following season in North America in the youth team Valley Jr. Warriors of the Eastern Junior Hockey League. At the end of the season he was voted into the All-Star team in the league.

In the summer of 2010, Bernard joined again at the HC Bolzano, with whom he was Italian Champion for the first time in the season 2011 /12. At the start of the following season he also won with his team the Supercoppa Italiana.

Internationally

For Italy, Bernard took the junior level at the U18 World Junior Championships Division II in 2006, the U18 Junior World Championship Division I in 2007, the U20 Junior World Championship Division II in 2008 and the U20 World Junior Championships Division I 2007 and 2009 in part.

In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the World Championships in 2012 and qualifying for the Olympic Winter Games 2014.
