Antonio Panciera

Antonio Panciera (* 1350 in Portogruaro, † July 3, 1431 in Rome ) was a Venetian cardinal. He was Patriarch of Aquileia from 1402 to 1412, secretary of Pope Boniface IX. and Bishop of Concordia from 1393 to 1402.

He studied law at the University of Padua and was appointed on July 6, 1411 cardinal. His titular church was Santa Susanna. In reality, he was a pseudo Cardinal ( he had the purple robe from the anti-pope John XXIII. Receive ), but took part in the conclave, the Martin V at the Council of Constance chose where he participated as a delegate.

He was a personality with a cultivated education, a skilled politician, but actually a humanist scholar.
