Antti Okkonen

Antti Okkonen ( born June 6, 1982 in Oulu) is a Finnish football players. He plays the position of defensive midfielder.

Clubs

At age 18, joined Antti Okkonen of his home club AC Oulu to first division MyPa. During this time he played 98 first division matches and scored six goals. His debut in the First Division was Okkonen from 3 May 2000 compared TPS, in the return leg against TPS on 22 October 2000, he scored his first goal in the top Finnish league.

For the season 2004 Okkonen then moved to Sweden Landskrona BoIS. After three years in Sweden he was awarded in early 2007 for half a year to Denmark Silkeborg IF. In January 2008 Okkonen went to Belgium for the first division side RAEC Mons. For the Belgians, he played 37 games and scored two goals. When his contract after the descent of the club was not renewed in 2009, Okkonen moved back to MyPa and signed a contract until the end of the season.

National

Okkonen played 13 games for Finland. His debut Okkonen on 26 January 2003 in a friendly against Barbados. So far, however, denied Okkonen still a competitive match for Finland, but always only came in friendlies for use. For the Finnish U- 21 team ran Okkonen 18th time, for younger cohorts Okkonen played a total of 56 times.
