Aquamania

The recreational captain is an American animated short film directed by Wolfgang Reitherman from the year 1961.

Action

An overgrown front yard in an American small town, where parking a boat: The narrator reported that also the "Mr. X " called owner of the house was once a normal person, who walked to work and felt this good. Like the majority of Americans, however, he was once captured by the "Aqua Mania ," the love of water and bought a boat.

With his son, he now wants to try water skiing and allows the boat to the water. We also find the car falls into the sea, which is corroded by salt water and immediately breaks down into its individual parts. Re- emerged at the water surface, animated by his son Mr. X to try on the water skis. What Mr. X does not know is that just the starting shot for a water skiing race. His son continues with the bumbling Mr. X immediately to the front of the field and despite abenteuerlichster actions and coincidences wins Mr. X at the end of the race and ends up upside down in the Gold Cup.

Production

The leisure captain came on February 20, 1961 as part of the Goofy Theatrical Cartoon Series in the cinemas. However, Goofy is the only film "Mr. X called ".

Aqua Mania 1962 was nominated for an Oscar in the category " Best Animated Short Film ", but could not prevail against the replacement itself.
