Arashi
Arashi (岚jap, dt.Sturm ) is a Japanese boy band consisting of five members and the talent of Johnny & Associates ( Johnny's Jimusho ) arose.
After the members as Johnny's were common for some time as Johnny's Juniors in the organization and so gained notoriety, they made their debut on 16 September 1999 in Honolulu, Hawaii. On 31 October the same year they released their first maxi- single entitled A.RA.SHI ( German storm ) with the label Pony Canon, in which they remained until 2001. Since 2002, their releases of J Storm are produced and distributed. Many of their singles are used as theme songs for various drama. In November 2006, Arashi gave the first band of Johnny & Associates, a concert in South Korea.
All members have already accumulated abundant experience in the film industry. So they played with in numerous drama and appeared in many commercials.
Your music moves mainly in the regions of J- pop, but the Style Hip Hop also plays a role and is introduced by Sakurai Sho.
Biography
Since Arashi still had as Johnny's Juniors already existed for some time before their debut as a group, they were celebrated in their debut performance of more than 80,000 fans. Their first single was a hit A.RA.SHI.
It was followed by further singles and albums. They also brought out two films: Pika ★ NCHI: Life is Hard dakedo Happy and Pika ★ ★ NCHI Double: Life is Hard dakara Happy, where they played the lead roles.
Due to large crowds of Korean fans on Arashi's press conference in Korea as part of their Jet Storm Tour, which was to promote their new album Arashic, Johnny's decided that Arashi should be the first of its bands concerts in South Korea. The four concerts were sold out within a very short time, according to press reports, the 150,000 tickets had been awarded for the first concert within an hour. Apart from these concerts, the group represented Japan at the Asia Song Festival 2006, which also took place in South Korea.
Achievements
Arashi has so far (as of August 2009) released 11 albums and 27 singles. Published on February 21, 2007 Single Love so Sweet was the title song of the successful drama Hana Yori Dango 2 series and secured the first place on the Oricon daily and weekly rankings. Their single on May 2 of the same year reached the highest chart position in the first week. Overall, Arashi so ( until August 2007) 8 singles that climbed immediately at the first place and 15 singles that reached this.
Also Arashi 's debut album Time from first place on the Oricon charts and sold 191,000 copies in its first week.
In April 2007, Arashi occurred in their biggest concert. Arashi Around Asia was held in Osaka Dome ( Kyocera Dome Osaka) and the Tokyo Dome, with a total capacity of 100,000 seats.
2008 succeeded Arashi both square one as to reach to two on the Oricon charts of the year, which was succeeded in 1989 no other artist more.
2010 Arashi have been chosen by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Trasnport and tourism to the " Face of Japan " and Aiba Masaki, Matsumoto Jun and Sakurai Sho have on the accompanying press conference Bergüßungssatz "We are waiting for you in Japan! " reproduced respectively in Chinese, Korean and English.
In April 2010, Arashi break with their DVD ARASHI Anniversary Tour 5 × 10 again all sales records by the DVD sold in the first week 477,000 times and reached the top of the Oricon charts. In the second week the DVD differs not from the first place, which is a great achievement given the high publication rate in Japan. For Arashi, it is already the second DVD in 2010, which succeeds this, the third in their careers.

As a group Arashi have hosted a number of shows, currently they moderate Himitsu no Arashi -chan, Arashi ni Shiyagare and VS Arashi.
