Armando Xavier Ochoa

Armando Xavier Ochoa ( born April 9, 1943 in Oxnard ) is an American clergyman and bishop of Fresno.

Life

Armando Xavier Ochoa received on 23 May 1970, the ordination.

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop on 23 December 1986 in Los Angeles and Titular Bishop of Sitifis. The archbishop of Los Angeles, Roger Mahony Michael, donated to him on 23 February of the next year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishops in Los Angeles John James Ward and Juan Alfredo Arzube.

On 1 April 1996 he was appointed Bishop of El Paso and introduced into the office on 26 June of the same year. On 1 December 2011 he was appointed Bishop of Fresno and introduced into the office on 2 February of next year.
