Arp 272

Arp 272 is an interacting pair of galaxies in the constellation Hercules, and about 400 million light -years away from Earth. Its components bear the catalog numbers NGC 6050 and IC 1179. Galaxies belonging to the Hercules cluster.

NGC 6050 was discovered on June 27, 1886 by Lewis A. Swift.
