Arsenio Hall

Arsenio Hall ( born February 12, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio ) is an American actor, presenter and comedian.

Career

Hall is the son of a Baptist clergyman, and attended Ohio University. Later he attended Kent State University. He then went to Los Angeles to start a career as a stand - up comedian. During this time he and Eddie Murphy good friends. In 1988, he and Eddie Murphy then played together in the movie Coming to America. In this film played Hall, just like Murphy also, in addition to his actual role three more supporting roles. 1989 Hall published under the pseudonym Chunky A, a hip-hop album called Large and in Charge. On the album had rappers like Ice-T and KRS -One guest appearances.

From 1989 to 1994 he had his own late-night show called The Arsenio Hall Show. After the end of his show Hall had several appearances on television, including own sitcom called Arsenio, before he, along with Sammo Hung from 1999 to 2000 in the series Martial Law - played The Karate Cop. Since 2013, The Arsenio Hall Show is produced again.

Arsenio Hall has a son, born in 1999, and was never married. Hall has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6776 Hollywood Blvd address.
