Arsenio Iglesias

Arsenio Iglesias Pardo ( born December 24, 1930 in Arteixo, A Coruna Province ) is a former Spanish football player and active coach.

Career as a player

The youngest of nine brothers of a farming family, he started his football career in 1951 with Deportivo La Coruña in La Liga with a game against FC Barcelona, with whom he also prompt a goal shot, for which he apologized to the former goalkeeping legend Antoni Ramallets. Career as a coach

In 1967 he started his coaching career at the 2nd team of Deportivo La Coruña. In 1970, he became coach of the first team of Deportivo La Coruna after the club's management had canceled the contract with Roque Olsen. He managed at first promotion to the Primera División.
