History

In ancient times, the area was part of the province of Noricum. For the first time Aschbach was mentioned as " asbahe " in the year 823. Aschbach original parish and the oldest market town in the district of Amstetten, at the time of Duke Leopold VI. their heyday experienced. Culture and sights

Cultural life in Aschbach is so worn, as in many rural communities, and commitment of individuals. Particularly noteworthy is the chairman of the Culture Committee, the event series FIT ( Spring Intensive days) and AH evenings is organized ( Aschbacher autumn evenings ).
