The nuclear power plant Ascó is a Spanish nuclear power plant. It lies in the east of Spain directly on the Ebro, north of the community Ascó in Tarragona. The power plant consists of two pressurized water reactors the U.S. Westinghouse Electric. The reactor Ascó -1 has an installed capacity of 1033 MW, the block 2 1035 MW. Block 1 was first critically on 16 June 1983, which block 2 on 11 September 1985. Incidents

  • In one incident on 28 November 2007 radioactive particles from a total of 84.95 million becquerels are released into the environment.
