Ã…snen

Åsnen is a lake in Småland in southern Sweden. It is located south of Alvesta and Växjö, and northwest of Tingsryd. He is after Bolmen the largest lake in Småland. The lake is 138 meters above sea level and has an area of approximately 150 km ², being 19 km ² occupied by islands. Åsnen has many bays and islands, the largest of which is Sirkön. On Sirkön and south of the lake at Urshult large quantities of fruit, such as apples or strawberries are grown. In the southwest of the river Mörrumsån drained the lake.
