Athanasios Michalopoulos

Athanasios " Thanassis " Michalopoulos (Greek Αθανάσιος " Θανάσης " Μιχαλόπουλος, born September 29, 1973 in Athens ) is a retired Greek beach volleyball player.

Career

Michalopoulos played in the European Championship in 1999 for the first time with Manolis Roumelitis, but did not on the last square. A year later there was in Getxo two clear defeats against Kjemperud / Hoidalen and the German Dieckmann brothers. In the preliminary round of the world championship in 2001, they could win against the competitors from Brazil and the United States no sentence.

Subsequently formed Michalopoulos a new duo with Pavlos Beligratis. 2003 could win a set of the Greeks neither at the European Championships in Alanya still at the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro.
