Attack No. 1

Mila Superstar (JapaneseアタックNo.1, Atakku No. 1) is a manga series by Chikako Urano, which was adapted into an anime, among other television series. The series is about the first 12 -year-old volleyball player Mila Ayuhara.

The manga was published from January 1968 to November 1970 in the Japanese manga magazine Margaret. A total of twelve anthologies were published in 1968 by the publisher Shueisha and over the years new editions have been printed over and over again. From September to December 1975, again in Margaret under the title Shin Attack No.. 1 (新 アタックNo.1, dt about the new Attack No. 1) a continuation of the Attack No. 1 published. The sequel was also published in two anthologies. The music of the series composed by Takeo Watanabe. In the Japanese original, the title song was sung to Atakku No.1 by two different artists. In the German version the other biasing song instead of the original Atack No.1 was used. The melody comes from the leader of the Italian Volleyball Anime Mila e Shiro ( Original Title: Attacker You (アタッカーYOU) ). For the German version of the text has been rewritten.

Movies

In Japan, four feature films were produced. For the first two films, two of the three directors of the series were responsible, Eiji Okabe and Fumio Kurokawa. Importance

Frederik L. Schodt see the manga as a pioneer of the shōjo sports manga. He was one of the first popular sports manga for girls.
