Attilio Bescapè

Attilio Carlo Bescape ( born September 2, 1910 in Sant'Angelo Lodigiano, † 1975) was an Italian weightlifter.

Career

Attilio grew up in Padua and thus began the weightlifting. In 1929 he moved to Milan in 1883 Pro Patria. He was a full decade for the world's best and almost 20 years to the Italian tip of the feather weight lifter ( up to 60 kg body weight). He participated in two Olympic Games and was also placed in front of the field each time. His greatest successes were winning the European Championship in 1934 and the World Championship in 1938. His best performances were 90 kg in the press, 95 kg in the snatch, 120 kg in the jerk and 300 kg in the Olympic triathlon. With the exception of pressing all services were also Italian records. 1971 Attilio Bescape was made an honorary member of the Italian Weightlifting Association.
