Augusta is a small town ( with the status of City ) in Eau Claire County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. In the census in 2010 Augusta had 1550 inhabitants.
Geography
Augusta is located in the central northwestern Wisconsin at 44 ° 40'49 " north latitude and 91 ° 07'12 " west longitude. The city covers an area of 5.67 km ² and is completely surrounded by the Town of Bridge Creek, without belonging to it.
Neighboring towns of Augusta are Ludington (18 km north), Fairchild (17 km southeast), Osseo (19 km southwest) and Fall Creek ( 16.6 km to the northwest ).

Traffic
U.S. Highway 12 runs in east-west direction as the main road through Augusta. Coming from the north flows of the Wisconsin State Highway 27 in the U.S. 12 and conducts on a common route to the east out of the city. All other roads are minor roads, some unpaved roadways and within local roads.
In parallel to U.S. 12, a railroad line of the Union Pacific Railroad runs through the city of Augusta.
The nearest airport is Chippewa Valley Regional Airport ( 40.9 km to the northwest ).
