Azurduy Municipality

The municipality Azurduy is a district in the department of Chuquisaca in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location in near space

The municipality Azurduy is one of two Municipalities of the province Azurduy and lies in the southern part of the province. It is bordered on the northwest by the municipality of Tarvita, the west and south by the province of Nor Cinti and the east and north by the province of Hernando Siles.

The municipality has 132 localities ( Localidades ), the central location of the municipality is the village with 1,098 inhabitants Azurduy ( 2001 census ) in the northern part of the county.

Geography

The municipality Azurduy lies between the Altiplano in the west and the lowlands to the east in a north- south running of the side valleys of the Bolivian Cordillera Central.

The climate of the region is a distinct diurnal climate where the temperature differences between day and night clearly vary as the average values ​​between summer and winter.
