Babarc

Babarc ( German: Bawarz, Croatian: Babrac ) is a Hungarian town in Baranya county. It belongs to the small area of ​​Mohács.

Location

Babarc located in southern Hungary in a valley of Branauer hill country. Larger towns in the area are Bóly and Mohács. Pecs ( Pecs ) is the closest major city with a university and train station. The limits to Croatia and Serbia are also just 30 km.

History

Babarc was first documented in 1015. From the 18th to the 20th century, mainly of German origin and languages ​​, as settled by the Danube Swabians.
