Babylon Circus

Babylon Circus is a French ska - reggae band from Lyon, which was founded in 1995.

Band History

The 10-member group to Babylon Circus making music since 1995 in the style of Manu Chao, Mano Negra and Tryo a mix of ska, reggae, jazz, punk, klezmer and French chanson. Live performances have so far to about 600 concerts in France, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Libya, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Holland, Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. Babylon Circus receive support from French musicians such as Juliette Rocher ( voice in Sailor 's Wife and choir at De la musique et du bruit ) or Régis Maynard.

The third album " Dances of Resistance " was produced by Laurent Jaïs ( Manu Chao, Amadou & Mariam, Les Wampas ). The lyrics deal with political resistance. It will be sung in English and French texts, in which the band expresses pacifist. The political statements are a common thread through the album represents the songs and L' huile War Lord sur le feu are examples. In other songs like J'aurais bien voulu or Sailor 's Wife, we sang about love. A barrel organ comes in the song Interlude Barbare used in parade acoustique a clarinet is played.
