The municipality Bad Ems is an administrative unit in the form of a local authority in the Rhein- Lahn-Kreis in Rhineland- Palatinate. The municipality includes the town of Bad Ems and eight independent local communities, the administrative headquarters are in the eponymous town of Bad Ems.

The municipality Bad Ems was born in 1972 in the course of administrative reform in the state of Rhineland -Palatinate.
