Bad Kohlgrub is a community in the Upper Bavarian district of Garmisch -Partenkirchen. The place is the highest mud spa in Germany. The whole place is certified as a spa since 1948, the district Gagers (the present Upper health resort) since 1878.

Geography
Bad Kohlgrub lies in the Oberland region of 800-900 meters above sea level at the foot of belonging to the Oberammergau Alps Hoernle. Approximately 8 km east of the village lies the Staff lake and the Murnau Moor. To place include numerous hamlets.
