Ballet company

A ballet company (also Ballet Company, Ballet or corps de ballet ) is a firmly united group of trained professional dancers, mostly in an opera house or theater that regularly brings previously learned ballets to the performance. These can be distinguished as the theater common between seasonal performances and repertoire pieces.

The author of each ballet is called a choreographer.

The term " Corps de Ballet " is used primarily in connection with ballet companies in opera houses. The corps de ballet is responsible among other things for the creation of dance in the performances of operas and operettas.

In addition to the ballet company that deals with classical ballet, the term of the dance ensemble will be used. A dance company deals in general with the representation of stage dance. Thus, a ballet company is a special case of a dance ensemble.
