Bane (Band)

Bane is an American hardcore punk band from Worcester, Massachusetts, which was founded in 1994 under the name of the gateway.

History

The band was founded in 1994 under the name Gateway of Converge guitarist Aaron Dalbec, the group was supposed to be intended only as a side project to his actual band Converge. In 1995, singer Aaron Bedard to fill and it was recorded a first demo, which contained five songs. As a bassist Pete Chilton then was added, while Zach Jordan joined the band as second guitarist. Drummer was Damnon Bellorado, also a member of Converge. In May 1996, followed with Forked Tongue an EP, the 1997 Free to Think, Free to Be joined. Both EPs appeared on Life Records. After drummer Bellorado left the band in order to concentrate fully on Converge can. Bellorado was briefly replaced by Ten Yard Fight- drummer Ben Chused before he was replaced in mid-1998 by the 19 -year-old Nick Branigan ( Close Call ). It was followed by a tour, and the album Holding This Moment, which was actually a compilation of EPs have been published. In addition, the band held a U.S. tour starting with Saves the Day. The album It All Comes Down to This was recorded in June 1999 at Austin Enterprises in Clinton, Massachusetts, amplification of Today- Is- the- Day singer Steve Austin. The album was released on Equal Vision Records. In 2000, a tour followed by North America with Death by Stereo and Adamantium, as well as performances in Europe. In early September 2000, the band went back into the studio, with Converge member Kurt Ballou worked as a producer, record two songs for a split release together with Adamantium, which appeared on Indecision Records. The second album Give Blood, published in 2001, in Beltsville, Maryland, recorded and produced by Brian McTernan. The publication followed along with Agnostic Front tour the United States. In 2003, drummer Branigan left the band and was replaced by Bob Mahoney. It was followed by another tour of the U.S., as well as a two-week tour of Japan in April 2004. McTernan producer with the band then went to the Salad Days Studios to record the album The Score which appeared on Equal Vision Records in 2005. In March 2005, the band held a U.S. tour with Comeback Kid and With Honour. Towards the end of the year was followed by another European tour with Comeback Kid. In 2010 appeared with Holding This Moment a compilation from various past recordings.

Style

The band plays classic hardcore punk, with bands like Justice League, Minor Threat, Descendents and Dag Nasty be taken as role models. As important albums apply to them I Against I by Bad Brains, The Age of Quarrel by Cro -Mags and Out of Step by Minor Threat.
