Bart the Bear

Bart the Bear ( born January 19, 1977 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, † 10 May 2000 Park City, Utah, United States) was a male Kodiak bear, who was involved in numerous Hollywood films.

Beard was born in 1977 in an American zoo, which was not able to raise the animal. When he was five weeks old and about 2.5 kg, decided the animal trainers Doug and Lynne Seus, taking care of the little bear and raise him with the bottle. After he had reached about 150 kilograms and thus was too great to continue living in the house, built the Seus on their Wasatch Rocky Mountain Wildlife Ranch for him a special " bear house ". The stuntman and animal trainer Monty Cox discovered the bear and his coach eventually for use in Hollywood movies. He starred alongside actors such as John Candy, Dan Aykroyd, Steven Seagal, Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin.
