Bartholomew J. Eustace

Joseph Bartholomew Eustace ( born October 9, 1887 in Cloyne, County Cork, USA, † December 11, 1956 in Wichita, Kansas, USA) was Bishop of Camden.

Life

Joseph Bartholomew Eustace attended the Christian Brothers College. Eustace studied philosophy at St. Vincent College and Catholic theology at St. Francis Seminary in Milwaukee. He received on 1 November 1914, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On December 16, 1937, he was named by Pope Pius XI. Bishop of Camden. The Archbishop of New York, Patrick Joseph Hayes, gave him on 25 March 1938, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Boise City, Edward Joseph Kelly, and the New York Auxiliary Bishop Stephen Joseph Donahue.
