Baruntse

The Baruntse is a mountain in the Khumbu (eastern Nepal ) with four peaks and bounded on the south by the Hunku Glacier. Neighboring mountains are Iceland Peak, Cho Polu and Num Ri

The first ascent was made on 30 May 1954 on the southern flank by a New Zealand expedition led by Colin Todd and Geoff Harrow. The Baruntse is considered relatively easy and safe to ersteigender seven thousand and is therefore often target commercial expeditions.
