That he will appeal to a wide audience, is frequently due to the press so that he could explain to understand and humorous, as German grammar working. On the other hand Sicks books by linguists such as Peter Eisenberg, Theodor Ickler, Vilmos Ágel and Anatol Stefanowitsch as too prescriptive and sometimes also criticized factually wrong. For the classroom Sicks works are not suitable. The linguist André Meinunger published a book in which he systematically demonstrates linguistic errors made by Bastian Sick.
