Batman: The Brave And The Bold
Batman: The Brave and the Bold is an American animated television series which is based on The Brave and the Bold comics. Unlike in the comics Batman is the main hero of the series, which is usually supported by other heroes and villains of the DC universe also.
Content
The episodes of the series Batman and send at least one other heroes of the DC Universe in the fight against a rogue or a crime to detect. For each season a villain is placed at the center and a longer storyline runs through the season until the final in the respective final episode. In the first season was such a villain Equinox, in the second of the alien starfish Starro. Each episode begins with a short scene in which Batman is already struggling with another hero against a classic villain, followed by the bias result. These scenarios, however, have usually nothing to do with the plot of the actual episode.
The producers of the show have decided to make Batman with lesser-known DC heroes in the center, which also appeared in the 1970s in The Brave and the Bold comics, such as Green Arrow, Wildcat, and Plastic Man. In addition, it was avoided, Bruce Wayne, Batman's alter ego, to give an appearance in the series, in the episode " The Color of Revenge " but he can be seen as a silhouette along with Dick Grayson, Robin's alter ego, see. It occasionally occur also in characters from the literature, or real individual on, such as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, King Arthur and Merlin, or the Red Baron Baron Manfred von Richthofen.
During the San Diego Comic Con 2010 it was announced that they wanted to end the series after its third season, to turn back to a slightly darker Batman series.

The German version of the series is produced in Berlin at SDI Media.
Episode List
The German premiere of the first season took place on Cartoon Network in the pay- TV. 2 weeks later started the series on 20 February 2010 at the Free TV for Kabel Eins. The second season starts 23 July 2012 also as already the first season in the pay- TV on Cartoon Network. The third season will be shown on ProSieben Maxx since April 1, 2014 in the German premiere.
DVD Release
The complete first season was released by Warner Home Video in Germany on 6 individual DVDs with 4-5 episodes each.
