Baumholder (Verbandsgemeinde)

The community of Baumholder is an administrative unit in the form of a local authority in the district of Birkenfeld, in Rhineland- Palatinate. The municipality includes the town of Baumholder and 13 independent local churches, the head office is located in the eponymous city of Baumholder.

It is located south of the Nahe between the Hunsrück and the North Palatine Uplands and borders, among others, to the Kusel district and the district of Sankt Wendel ( Saarland). The community of Baumholder is also in the so-called West Rich.
