Bavarian B IV
The Bavarian B IV were steam locomotives of the Royal Bavarian State Railways.
The six vehicles from Kessler was experimenting with a boiler in the design Kessler. This had a pear-shaped cross-section and could thus be placed deeper between the wheels. In the machines of Hartmann one tried to achieve the same effect by using two boilers, a lower vessel with a small diameter and a greater steam drum is used. After it had come twice to the boiler explosion, we outfitted all vehicles with a normal boiler. All vehicles had the steam dome in the center, which had overhanging firebox a smooth firebox which used to contain a safety valve and driven by the crossheads drive pump.
They were equipped with a Tender of the Bavarian type 3 T 5.
