Bay of Cádiz (comarca)

The comarca of Bahía de Cádiz (Spanish comarca de la Bahía de Cádiz ) is located in the Andalusian province of Cádiz. It was, like all Comarcas in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, furnished with effect from 28 March 2003.

The comarca consists of 5 municipalities with 432 242 inhabitants, or about 35% of the province 's population.

History

Geography

Through the Comarca, the rivers flow Guadalete, Rio Iro, Río Salado de Rota and Río San Pedro. Furthermore, the Parque Natural de la Bahía de Cádiz is located in the area of ​​Comarca.

All municipalities of the comarca of the diocese of Cádiz y Ceuta are assigned to the archbishopric of Seville.

Communities

All five municipalities of the comarca also form the Mancomunidad de municipios Bahía de Cádiz, and is part of the metropolitan area of Bahía de Cádiz - Jerez.
